How did I became a Virtual Assistant?

Looking back at my journey, becoming a Virtual Assistant has been a rewarding experience. It's amazing to have found my passion and skills that can benefit others. But to be honest, it wasn't an easy journey.

A few years back when I was figuring out my career path and what I wanted to do with my life, I was clueless. I wish I could go back in time and tell my 21-year-old self to pursue something different. So I ended up studying Gastronomy in the Hotel and Tourism field, which I enjoyed but didn't feel entirely passionate about. It was only later on that I found the answer to the question I was asked when I was 15.

Over the years, I gained valuable experience working in various industries and companies. My roles have always emphasised organisational skills and effective communication across different departments and stakeholders.

What comes naturally to me seems like a burden to others. Even my parents still don't quite understand how I can enjoy being bombarded by emails, sorting through piles of paperwork, and attending numerous meetings!

Early Beginnings:
My Passion for Administrative Tasks from a Young Age

Ever since I was young, I have had a love for administrative tasks. Even during primary school, I couldn't keep my hands off organising and managing various projects.

One example of this was when I was part of a musical band, where I took on multiple roles, such as creating posters, scheduling practices and performances, and even designing websites that stood out from other bands. Despite the limited resources available in 2007, I was able to use my skills to create professional-looking websites and materials.

Although it felt like I spent more time on these behind-the-scenes tasks, I found them fulfilling and enjoyable. As I have grown older, this passion for organisation and management has continued to shape my interests and career choices.

Nonetheless, I still enjoy playing the piano.

I am a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for design and a talent for helping businesses with their day-to-day tasks. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of sectors and fields, gaining valuable experience and learning different systems and software along the way. Many of my colleagues and former coworkers have recognised my potential as a virtual assistant*  and encouraged me to pursue this path.
